Emperor Wu stared at him. “Don’t tell me you want Qin Mo’s job!”

Jun Linyuan said indifferently, “Qin Mo’s job?”

Emperor Wu shouted, “What? Do you want my throne, then?!”

Jun Linyuan rolled his eyes at him. “That’s the toughest job in the world. Feel free to keep it. I don’t want it.”

Emperor Wu bellowed, “You!”

Jun Linyuan looked at him helplessly. “You’ll get mad at me if I say that I’m interested, but you’re still angry when I tell you that I’m not. Father, what answer do you want to hear?”

That rendered Emperor Wu speechless.

However, he wouldn’t admit his defeat. Instead, he stared at Jun Linyuan and shouted even more loudly, “Where’s the token? Did you lose it?!”

Jun Linyuan darted an indifferent look at Feng Wu.

Feng Wu took the hint and immediately handed the token to Emperor Wu.

Emperor Wu looked from Jun Linyuan to Feng Wu and back to Jun Linyuan. “Did you give the token to the girl?!”

Jun Linyuan said, “You gave it to me, so I think I can decide whom I can give it to. Father, please don’t worry.”

“Don’t worry? If I don’t worry, you’ll give the entire empire away!” Emperor Wu shouted.

He realized that whenever he quarreled with Jun Linyuan, he would end up throwing a tantrum while Jun Linyuan remained perfectly calm.

Emperor Wu rubbed his forehead. “What do you want?”

Jun Linyuan frowned and glanced at him. “Isn’t it obvious?”

Emperor Wu said, “Don’t tell me that you want to give that job to this girl!

“You do realize that the head of the espionage department is equivalent to a lieutenant general in the army. This girl hasn’t even graduated from Imperial College yet. Even if she can get into the Ministry of War one day, she’ll start as a captain and work her way up, but you’re going to make her a general now. Are you kidding me?!”

Hearing that, Feng Wu didn’t like the token in her hands too much.
